A warm Irish welcome on the Tain Trail, just minutes from Longford Town.

About Westhouse Café

Westhouse Café has been run since 2004 by Freda Farrell, a professional chef, together with the Farrell Clann - descendants of Queen Maebh who still live on the legendary Tain Trail. Behind every stay is a family who genuinely enjoy looking after their guests and sharing the very best of Longford town and country.

Our guest rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean and full of small thoughtful touches: fresh linens, plenty of milk for the morning tea, an iron when you need it and a friendly word at the front door. The on-site café is the heart of the house, where every breakfast is freshly prepared and where guests gather over tea, coffee and conversation.

From cyclists arriving late and muddy to families on holiday, regulars returning year after year and business travellers in town for a single night, our aim is always the same - a relaxing experience that feels less like a hotel and more like a home away from home.
